Tractor Supply Company, the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, officially broke ground on its new distribution center in Nampa on Wednesday. The expansive facility will cover 865,000 square feet, marking the company’s 11th distribution center and representing an initial investment of nearly $225 million in Canyon County.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Tractor Supply’s Chief Supply Chain Officer Colin Yankee, Idaho Lt. Governor Scott Bedke, and Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling, among other federal, state, and local leaders.

The new distribution center is set to create over 500 full-time, high-quality jobs in the region, providing competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for long-term career growth. This investment underscores Tractor Supply’s commitment to its Team Members and the surrounding community.

During the ceremony, Tractor Supply made a meaningful contribution to local initiatives by donating $10,000 to both the Ridgevue FFA and Canyon County 4-H chapters, organizations dedicated to youth development and agricultural education. The event showcased local talent, with the catering provided by students from the Nampa School District’s Culinary Arts Program at the Idaho Center for Advanced Technology.

Colin Yankee expressed excitement over the groundbreaking, stating, “Today is an exciting milestone in our company’s storied history. We are proud to serve hobby farmers, pet owners, gardening enthusiasts, and farming families in this region more efficiently than ever. It is an honor to be here.”

Idaho Lt. Gov. Scott Bedke welcomed Tractor Supply to the state, emphasizing Idaho’s leadership in agricultural production. “We wish them continued success in providing for the agricultural needs of our communities,” he remarked.

Mayor Debbie Kling acknowledged Tractor Supply’s generosity and the employment opportunities it will bring to Nampa, saying, “We are thankful they will be providing well-paying employment opportunities for hundreds of people in our community.”

Tom Kealey, Director of the Idaho Department of Commerce, noted the advantages of the state for businesses. “Tractor Supply is the latest company to recognize the opportunities available in our great state,” he stated.

Tractor Supply chose Nampa after evaluating several potential sites across five states. The distribution center will serve more than 200 stores throughout the Pacific Northwest, including areas in Middleton, Kuna, and Emmett, Idaho. It will be constructed to meet LEED certification standards.

Located at 9640 Ustick Road, the Nampa distribution center is expected to be completed in late 2026 or early 2027, with hiring for positions anticipated to begin in the second quarter of 2026. Interested candidates can find information about job openings at TractorSupply.careers.
