— The Safety Consultation and Training Section (SCATS) of the State of Nevada’s Division of Industrial Relations recognizes Do it Best’s Mesquite, Nevada distribution center for the successful renewal of the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP). Do it Best Mesquite warehouse has consistently earned this recognition since 2013.
The Do it Best team in Mesquite continues its partnership with SCATS consultants to reinforce its commitment to employee safety and strive toward continuous growth.
“Our SHARP involvement helps boost the culture of safety within our warehouse,” said Cole Atwood, department manager. “Getting team members to ‘buy into’ safety can be a challenge, but being a SHARP-certified facility is just one way we ensure our 114 distribution center employees return home safely at the end of each day.”
The Do it Best Mesquite warehouse is part of an elite group of businesses that have achieved SHARP status by maintaining exemplary health and safety protocols. Participation in the no-cost program provides incentives and support to employers to develop, implement and continuously improve programs at their worksites. By taking these proactive measures, businesses can reduce accident costs and ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) regulations.
“The Do it Best team is committed to employee safety and are proven leaders within the warehouse and distribution industry,” said Todd Schultz, Chief Administrative Officer for SCATS. “Their dedication to their employees’ health and well-being is outstanding and SCATS is proud to partner with them.”
