Jerry’s Hardware has been bought out by Neimann Foods Inc., an Illinois-based operator of grocery and hardware stores.

Niemann Foods has acquired the remaining three locations of Jerry’s Hardware & Rental, marking the company’s full exit from the hardware sector. According to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, the move follows the closure of two stores in late 2025, leaving the final trio to transition under new ownership.

The acquired stores will continue operating but will be rebranded under the Ace Hardware banner, replacing their previous affiliation with Do it Best. This shift ensures continuity for customers while aligning the locations with a nationally recognized cooperative.

Jerry’s Hardware, a staple in Minnesota for more than 50 years, began as a single store in Edina and grew into a five-location operation. With Niemann Foods now at the helm, the transition signals both the end of a legacy brand and a new chapter for these community-focused stores.
