Do it Best Group’s largest Market of the year will connect independent home improvement business owners with the buying opportunities, insights, innovations, and vendor partnerships they need to grow stronger and more profitably

Registration is now open for the 2026 Do it Best and True Value Fall Market, taking place September 25–28 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

The company’s largest and most important buying event of the year will bring together thousands of Do it Best members, True Value retailers, vendor partners, and industry leaders for four days centered on helping independent home improvement businesses grow profitably, operate more confidently, and compete on their own terms.

This year’s Fall Market will demonstrate how Do it Best Group is delivering on its Better for Your Business promise by turning the company’s growing scale, strengthened vendor partnerships, expanded buying opportunities, technology investments, and ongoing integration work into practical value for independent store owners.

“The Fall Market is where ‘Better for Your Business’ comes to life,” said Dan Starr, CEO of Do it Best Group. “This is not just about bringing people together for a buying event. It is about giving independent store owners direct access to the products, programs, insights, and relationships that help them make more money, run stronger businesses, and stay independent.”

The Fall Market will feature more than 1200 vendors, exclusive Market-only buying opportunities, new product introductions, expanded vendor programs, and dozens of learning sessions designed to give attendees ideas they can put to work immediately in their stores and yards. Attendees will also have access to the full Market floor, giving Do it Best members and True Value retailers the opportunity to connect with vendors, compare programs, and explore opportunities across the combined company.

This year’s event comes at an important point in Do it Best Group’s work to build a stronger operating platform for independent home improvement businesses. Market programming will highlight progress across merchandising, operations, technology, marketing, supply chain, brand support, and data-driven tools that help retailers improve performance.

A major focus will be the company’s continued rollout of Retail Pulse, the data-driven business intelligence platform designed to help retailers identify opportunities in pricing, assortment, inventory productivity, promotions, and category performance. By giving store owners more actionable visibility into their business, Retail Pulse is helping retailers uncover margin opportunities, improve decision-making, and respond more quickly to changing market conditions.

“Independent retailers do not need more theory. They need practical tools, better data, stronger programs, and buying opportunities that improve performance right away,” said Nick Talarico, chief operating officer of Do it Best Group. “That is what this Fall Market is built to deliver. Whether an owner is focused on improving margins, strengthening assortments, driving traffic, expanding LBM opportunities, or preparing for the next season, this Market is designed to help them find clear, actionable ways to make their business better.”

The Market will also highlight enhanced opportunities across lumber and building materials, retail operations, ecommerce, marketing, merchandising, and store design. Dedicated programming will give attendees access to company experts, vendor partners, and peer insights across key areas of business growth and operational improvement.

For store owners, the advantage of attending is speed. In four days, they can compare buying opportunities, pressure-test plans with vendors and category experts, explore data-driven insights, and make decisions they would otherwise spend months trying to piece together through separate conversations.

“Independent store owners are facing a retail environment that is more complex and more competitive than ever,” Starr said. “Our job is to make sure they are not facing it alone. The Fall Market brings together the products, programs, people, and ideas that can help them leave Indianapolis with a stronger plan for the year ahead.”

The 2026 Fall Market reflects Do it Best Group’s continued commitment to helping independent home improvement retailers capture the benefits of scale while preserving the local ownership, entrepreneurial freedom, and customer relationships that make them essential in their communities.
