Rival Holdings, an Indiana-based investment and holding company, has announced the additions of Brice Urschel as Vice President of Finance and Treasury and Adam Hughes as Learning & Organizational Development Manager, strengthening the company’s financial operations and workforce development capabilities as it expands its impact in the built ecosystem.
In his role as Vice President of Finance and Treasury, Urschel will lead treasury operations, balance sheet optimization and financial strategy. He will also drive efficiencies through process improvement and automation across back-office and operational functions.
Before joining Rival, Urschel served as finance leader at Ambassador Enterprises, where he led treasury, accounting and financial planning and analysis. He also spent eight years at MedPro Group, leading treasury and financial reporting.
He earned an undergraduate degree from Huntington University, a CPA license and an Executive MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
Urschel and his wife, Catelyn, met at Huntington University, where both were student-athletes, and have two daughters. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active through sports and exercise and tackling DIY projects around the house.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Brice to our team,” said Brandon Koenig, Rival’s Chief Financial Officer. “We are committed to financial excellence, and his experience in treasury operations, financial planning and strategic initiatives will strengthen our company as we continue to grow.”

He brings experience spanning social work, education and manufacturing, giving him a unique perspective on employee development and organizational growth.
Prior to Rival, he spent seven years at MasterSpas, a hot tub and swim spa manufacturer based in Fort Wayne. He advanced from production leadership into training and development roles focused on onboarding, leadership development, workforce capability, and employee engagement.
“Adam’s passion for developing people and improving systems makes him an outstanding addition to our team,” said Alicia Wilkins, Chief People Officer at Rival. “His experience building training programs, strengthening leadership capabilities and creating meaningful employee experiences will help us continue investing in our people and culture.”
Hughes is a Fort Wayne native and holds a bachelor’s degree from Grace College. He and his wife have three children, and he enjoys playing guitar, getting involved at his church and listening to podcasts.
